Sugar analyzer
The sugar analyzer algorithm plugin for ParticleTech Analyzer gives you a fast and accurate measurement of the crystal size distribution based on the ICUMSA® equivalent standard. This includes direct measurements of the mean aperture (MA) and coefficient of variation (CV) in a few minutes, based on various methods, including Powers, Rens, RRSB, and Butler. Furthermore, you get critical information on the degree of conglomeration & aggregation of a given sample.
The sugar analyzer algorithm is an efficient tool for measuring the crystal size distribution of sugar samples. The algorithm provides results analog to the results obtained from traditional sieve analysis but with the added information on crystal shape, morphology, and degree of conglomeration. The algorithm enables efficient detection of fines/false grain formation and irregular crystal growth. This information can be used directly in troubleshooting and optimization of sugar refining processes.
The analysis provides results based on the ICUMSA® equivalent standard, the internationally recognized sugar analysis standard. It provides measurements of the mean aperture (MA) and coefficient of variation (CV) of sugar crystals in minutes, including detailed 2-dimensional crystal size distributions.
